Hank Wall is the owner of Eco Building Group and Wood Wise Design & Remodeling. He started Wood Wise in January 1990 with a kitchen remodeling project for his Lake Anne neighbors, Hal and Alice Burrows. 
Since then the company has completed over 400 projects, maintaining high standards that emphasize efficiency, craftsmanship and good communication with clients.
Eco Building Group was formed in 2005 to build inspiring homes using earth-friendly materials and systems that ever more residents in our area want, but cannot find. It is a natural extension of Wood Wise. And because of the close connection of the two companies, we are able to benefit from the capabilities of our on-staff designers, project managers and carpenters.
Hank lives with his wife Beth and son Jeremy in a home just about a mile from the office that he has remodeled several times over the years. When he's not working, he likes to hike, practice yoga and travel. Before moving to North Carolina, Hank taught school, taught carpentry and built solar homes in Vermont. He has an easy-going management style with an emphasis on top-quality craftsmanship and inspired design ideas. "Our people are great team players," says Hank. "Our intention is to be good partners with all of our clients. We accept their trust and feel responsible to deliver on our promise to be really good at what we do."
In 2009 Hank was selected by Remodeling Magazine as one of the top 50 remodelers in the country and was inducted into the Big 50 group.
